This thing has been going round on Facebook recently, where I've been tagged countless times. I had to list down 25 things about myself and then forward the list to a number of people on my friend list.
Anyway, here's my fact list.
1. My name gets 'raped' each and everytime it is to be read or spelt out.
2. The longest I've ever survived without a shower was for 3 days and 2 nights whilst jungle trekking in Sabah.
3. Contrary to popular belief, I'm 5 feet tall (nothing more and nothing less).
4. I would like to go bungee jumping in New Zealand some day.
5. I've reached the peak of Mt. Kinabalu but the beautiful view was hampered by bad weather.
6. I have a short fuse.
7. I had conquered Sg. Kampar and Sg. Kiulu, and am looking forward to go white water rafting in Sg. Padas one day.
8. I aim to get my scuba diving licence by 2010.
9. I love to cook but hate washing up, and yes I make delicious tasting scones.
10. As much as I love Medical Law, I'm dabbling with Criminal Law now.
11. I built a kindergarten in Kg. Keranaan, Ranau (Sabah) with a bunch of 20 odd people in 21 days.
12. I would love (very much) to join a Raleigh IW; but things always seem to get in the way.
13. I'm left-handed when it comes to using a mouse.
14. I love watching Formula 1 and football, but seldom have time for it now.
15. I love sunflowers.
16. I love buying acessories/trinkets (necklaces, bracelets, anklets), but always end up wearing the same old pieces.
17. I love Taekwondo, but am unable to find time for it now.
18. I love taking photographs, but have sucky skills.
19. At times I wish I'm back in Manchester. As much as I love my new-found life here, I miss my old life back there!
20. I was hospitalised for the first time at St. Mary's Hospital (Manchester) in September 2006 for 'malaria'. Duh!!!!
21. I always seem to have a pathway that I'd like to lead in life, but somehow I always seem to lose track of it.
22. I have an innate fear of dogs, but am hopelessly in love with Mika.
23. I would love to go for a beach holiday, with a bunch of friends who are water sport fanatics. Jetski, paragliding, windsurfing....
24. I would love to try sky diving but have the fear of parachute malfunction.
25. I have a fear of blood being drawn from my body.

Eat, Eat, Eat!
A long-time friend was telling me about his long hours at work, and how he would often conveniently 'forget' to have his lunch and dinner. He then told me of how often his better half would nag him for such 'forgetfulness'.
I am reminded of how often I would go into a similar nag-mode lately.
Maybe I should quit doing that and be more pro-active. I should probably pry open that certain someone's mouth as illustrated below (or maybe bigger)...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/momnurse/1065264060/
And then proceed to shove food down that certain someone's throat. Save energy, no need to nag! Muahahaha!!!! :P

The Sacrifices?
Exams have ended yesterday and come to think of it, I'm actually busier now (and will so be for the next 3 days until I depart for Sabah).
I've been busy spending time with my friends for the past few days, and popped by a Raleigh fundraising event today. And I'd realised how much I've actually given up over the past 2 months.
The sole purpose of my existence for the past 2 months have been CLP, CLP and CLP. I've missed countless gatherings, yumcha invites, and have basically been deprived of the luxury of just sitting down and relax without going,
"Oh crap, I haven't read XY chapter yet!"
___
I've been and (will be) kept busy meeting people over the last (and next) few days. And I realised that there are just so many people I'ld like to meet and spend time with.
Man, thank God that the CLP days are long over (at least for the next 2 months) *touchwood*
Been running around doing errands for the last few days, and boy, I am exhausted. But interestingly, this body of mine seems to be able to function even without the required number of hours of sleep. Say, 4 hours in the past 48+hours? VCKY and SC are both convinced that I'm running on reserves.... Oh well, prolly!

So Much for Planning
Gonna have my last paper tomorrow, and I can't stop planning what I'll be doing over the next couple of days till I fly off to Sabah on Monday.
My plans WERE (note past tense used):
1. short hop over to Thailand; 2 days 1 night prolly
2. day trip to Genting
3. hang around in Ipoh (yeah, I know I'm up in Ipoh often enough, but I still like lurking around there)
4. Langkawi
5. Chris Daughtry
*I really wanted to get away and hide somewhere for a few days.
But now,
1. Thailand
- Travel partner opines that 2 days 1 night is too short, plus travel partner ain't free now
2. Genting
- I thought it would be a nice day trip to do alone. But on 2nd thoughts, it's too commercialised for a 'quiet trip'
3. Ipoh
- I doubt it now. Since I'm stuck down South till Friday with a zillion other things to do.
4. Langkawi
- Too faraway. No travelling kaki. So forget it.
5. Chris Daughtry
- SE music jam at 1U. A case of so near yet so far! I've gotta purchase a SE Walkman phone to get passes to that event. And since my dad doesn't print money for a living, I've gotta resort to listening to the concert from my balcony. That is IF the music is not drowned by the noisy traffic.
Dang! So much for the 'wishes' to relax and enjoy myself after the exams! Shod it!

Weirdly Interesting
I dreamt last night. And in my dreams, I was attending CLP classes. And we covered the topics "The Right to Life" and "Why and When It Is Wrong to Kill?" Yup, all during CLP CLASS! *lols* The side-effects of Clarinase and/or overload of CLP! Welcome to my world, folks!

On Making Time and Effort
It feels good when you receive a call from someone who's 54385489 miles away,
It feels nice when you wake up in the morning to discover a text from someone 2039043 miles away,
It's lovely when someone who lives 45 minutes away makes the effort to meet up for a drink,
It's great when someone who is at the other end of the world drops you an email filled with detailed updates and photographs,
It's a pleasant surprise to receive a short note (snail mail) in the letterbox (albeit hastily (and curi-curi) written ones during those dreadfully long conferences/meetings),
All it takes is a little time, thought and effort,
AND
Tiny gestures do make a difference...
I'm grateful to have met such great people...

World of Warcraft
Livyen: Level 70 Night Elf Priest on Der Rat von Dalaran
Yup, I've got a character in the World of Warcraft named after me. It happened moons ago when a friend ran out of names to name his characters. All the names he wanted were taken up. And Mr. Smart Alec decided that "Livyen" is rather uncommon and unlikely to be taken up.
Hence, this.... in my honour.
Man, I love my friends!

Reasons Why I Love My Doctors
I went to the Dermatologist's as well today. (Was just there as a 'moral supporter' and not the patient btw).
Stepped into the room, plonked myself down onto the chair directly opposite Mr. Dermatologist. He proceeded to examine the patient and then turned his attention to me.
"Hey, I've treated you before! I recognise your face!", he exclaimed in an excited manner.
"Yeah, but that was ages ago! Man, you've got good memory!", I remarked.
And Mr. Dermatologist went (note: I'm not the patient for today!), "So did you do anything with your keloid scar?" (I've got a scar on my right wrist, due to a nasty fall during my athletics days.)
"Nah, I've just left it as it is, though it hurts at times. No point doing steroid injections and all for that...", I replied casually.
Mr. Dermatologist continued, "Yeah, cosmetic surgery is an option too, but I don't see the need for it. But you've just got to be really careful you know, no piercings, cuts and all. You're so prone to them."
"Yeah I know..."
And then came the cracker from Mr. Dermatologist...
"But they will love you when you go to Africa!"
And I went (a bit confused), "What?!?!?! They even more prone to keloids themselves!"
"Yeah, but they practice self-scarification. They use bamboo shoots to cut their face so that they get keloids on their face. Well, they think it makes them look more like warriors, you know..."
I was dumbfounded. Really kena cha dou!
PS: My apologies for taking the limelight away from the patient! :P
