Raleigh Log

A collection of my favourite Raleigh pictures...

Dipoles: Strung across the goal-post on one end and tied to a villager's shrub on the other.

Random sunset @ Kg. Keranaan during one of the evening walks together with Alex and Louise

Mike: Very good with kids. During our 'School Duty'

Kids... Epitome of innocence

And yes, this hillarious picture Alex took of me, whilst I was attempting to stay afloat on a make shift raft consisting of 2 bamboo poles and 3 jerrycans help together with some gaffertape.
My favourite Raleigh picture so far!

Trekking. 3 days 2 night in the same stinky clothes!

Piggyback races with James

Our completed project!

A group picture at Poring Hot Springs. Way to go Alpha Premier!!!!

Mika

27th Sept 2008 - The day I got over my phobia of dogs (have only gotten over phobia of small ones though).

We were walking along the streets of 31900, when we had a chance encounter with a slightly less than 30cm tall and 4kg heavy, one year old Miniature Pinscher at our 'friendly neighbourhood petshop'.

As we've been mulling over the thought of getting a dog for quite sometime, we decided to bring it home. And off home it went with us.

To greener pastures,

And bluer skies.... We hope...

After some deliberation, we decided to christen it Mika, after my favourite Formula 1 driver Mika Hakkinen.

He He...we shall get a Kimi and Heikki next?
PS: The author is still terrified at the sight of dogs which are more than 30cm in height and those that weigh more than 4kg.

Addiction?

It just dawned upon me; how much I love my coffee. Freshly brewed, with a dash of milk, no sugar... *Lols* Reminds me of my D(F)ruckers days where coffee was aplenty...

Tanned and Charred

Much have been said on Facebook about my post-expedition tan.

Comments range from, "You look tanned and dirty" (credits to Grandma) and "OMG, you're so dark!" to "Hmmm... not tanned enough"

So here are some before and after pictures to appease my 'detractors'.

Before

After (Delta Phase: 3 days into expedition)

Post-expedition (during the after party)

Week 1 Post-expedition (atop Mt. K)

YES, I'm tanned and charred! But the tan is fading fast... so come and meet me at the darkest phase of my life whilst you can... :P Once in a lifetime opportunity NOT to be missed... :P

For the records, some uncle at Palm Court mistook me as Philipino. WTF!

Adios See-Elle-Pee!

16th Sept 2008
The day when all the uncertainty became certain
Just got back from expedition
Was in a daze when I got the call at 10am
Had no prior expectations

Was summoned to meet the 'boss' at 2pm
Arrived (fashionably late) at 3pm
Was shown my results

Went "WOW!"

Checked, double checked and triple checked them to 'ensure authenticity'
Enjoyed a moment of euphoria and disbelieve
Met, bargained and negotiated thoroughly with the 'boss'

Went home
Thought about the offer
Said "yes" to my 'dream job' that I'd aimed for originally

22nd Sept 2008
The day of 'confirmation'
Collected my results slip
Heaved a sigh of relief

Glad that it's all confirmed and finally 'in my hands'
Happy that I don't have to go through hell again
Thankful that I've gone through hell and back
Delighted that most of my fellow comrades sailed through as well

6th Oct 2008
Putrajaya, here I come!

YES!!!!! We've done it!

*relieved and ready to face the world!

2. And for winning piggyback races...

These pictures probably explain why...

Double rainbows!!!!

The almost vertical trek up for work!

Beautiful sceneries

Mt. K as seen during my daily hike up to the project site...

Sunset + Rainbow + Peak of Mt K

The avid photographer

Radio check (I hate this with a vengeance)

Which is never complete without...
Di-poles

And not forgetting, the horrible tan lines! *lols* So much for XT complaining that I'm still white! This is proof!!!!

Note: Spot the difference between the 'original' and 'post-expedition' skin tone

My badge(s) of honour. Lovely!!!!!
