No Excuses

Dictionary:
Professional student (adjective): used to describe a person who has been a fulltime student throughout his/her life, and has never held a proper fulltime job

One thing I find most interesting throughout my postgrad (PG) year and my post-postgrad (PPG) year (read: CLP) is the presence of mature students in my class.

Susan was a nurse in her 50s, Louise an established barrister in her 40s, Divine a medical doctor in his early 30s, Rachel a surgeon in her early 30s, Nick a dentist in his late 40s - my classmates during my PG year. Fun people to talk to, and it's nice being the 'baby' at times, cause you get sayang-ed (i.e. pampered) *smiles*

Fast-forward PPG: I see some senior citizens around too... some in their 60s... 50s... 40s.... and some young (late 20s, early 30s) professionals; architects, accountants,...

It makes me wonder, why on earth do these people choose to torture themselves with work and weekend classes for CLP?

Their perseverance, determination and motivation is inspiring....

Hence, for a professional student like me; I have no excuse to fail.... Work hard, babe!!!!
